Festival Manager, Internal Ticketing & Credentials

POSITION OVERVIEW

 

The Festival Manager, Internal Ticketing and Credentials is charged with managing the planning, implementation, and daily operations of the internal ticketing and credentials department which fulfills Sundance Film Festival ticket requests and prints credentials for staff, departments, and special guests. This position oversees eight seasonal employees.

 

Working closely under the direction of the Manager, Ticketing Operations, the Festival Manager, Internal Ticketing and Credentials supports Sundance Institute’s commitment to providing patrons with the best possible experience of the Festival’s many digital and in-person offerings.

 

This temporary position works full time from Wednesday, October 9, 2024 through Friday, February 14, 2025 and will be required to work extended hours, including some evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet key deadlines and respond to on-call needs as assigned. This position must be based within a commutable distance to our Park City, UT office in order to work onsite in a hybrid capacity throughout its employment. There will be ample opportunity for remote work leading up to the Festival in January.

 

Top priorities include but are not limited to…

  • Managing employees and volunteers, includes selecting and training employees and volunteers, providing direction, feedback, and support to ensure they understand responsibilities and are effective in their roles.

  • Managing internal ticketing operations for the Sundance Film Festival, ensuring ongoing communications with all internal and external constituents as it relates to internal ticketing requests and deadlines.

  • Managing credentialing procedures and processes, including developing timelines and deadlines, to print and deliver approximately 9,000+ credentials to employees, volunteers, artists, etc ahead of the Festival.

  • Scheduling and conducting needs assessment meetings regarding internal departments and their credential needs, as well as review credential policies and procedures.

  • Planning for and managing equipment and supplies for credential needs, including communicating regularly with internal and external stakeholders and supporting preparations onsite.

  • With the Festival Manager, Ticketing Systems, assisting in the creation and management of internal ticket allocations.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues with internal ticketing orders, delivery, and service immediately.

  • Enforcing all internal deadlines and ticket allocation quantities, notifying the Associate Director, Ticketing of any orders or requests that do not fall within approved guidelines

  • Tracking and communicating issues that arise with credential creation to the Digital team and ticketing system company to ensure quick resolution.

  • Working with various internal departments and our software provider to design credentials and proof content before finalizing layout.

  • Planning, overseeing, and supporting with the setup and breakdown of Internal Ticketing and Credentials offices at various locations onsite during the Festival.

  • Working with the Volunteer Department to secure adequate volunteer coverage for Credentials office and develop volunteer schedules.

  • Updating training and user manuals, and facilitating training with various internal departments as necessary.

  • Writing a comprehensive written wrap report as directed.

 

You have the following direct or transferable skill sets:

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

  • 3 years operational planning and implementation experience or related, ticketing experience preferred.

  • Leadership skills with a background that includes managing people.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a variety of people.

  • Excellent organizational skills including ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize.

  • Ability to maintain confidential information.

  • Ability to lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
