Utah Sistah's Uplifting Sistah's Black women in UT have been suffering in silence far too long due to cultural, spiritual, and dialectical differences and assumptions associated with the culture at large. Sistah Circle offers a space for historically under-represented Black/African Americans to openly speak about domestic and sexual trauma imposed upon them at the hands of a trespasser. "Black women are disproportionately punished in school, in the criminal justice system, disproportionately subjected to racial profiling and police brutality, and incarcerated at rates far exceeding their share of the population. Over time suffering in silence is harmful to one’s mental state of mind and overall health. The CIRCLE fosters a space for your story to be respectfully captured and validated from a cultural lens. The CIRCLE is community.
