#ME TOO
Sistah Circle offers a space for historically under-represented Black/African Americans to openly speak about domestic and sexual trauma imposed upon them at the hands of a trespasser. "Black women are disproportionately punished in school, in the criminal justice system, disproportionately subjected to racial profiling and police brutality, and incarcerated at rates far exceeding their share of the population. A silenced victim/survivor stands unprepared, yet likely to experience a lifetime of poor mental health. (Sistah Circle does not offer therapeutic counseling)
