Job Description
Location: Catholic Community Services of Utah, 437 W 200 S SLC UT 84101
Status: Exempt, Full-time, with benefits
Salary: 19-21/hr DOE

Job Description:
Oversee the day-to-day activities, administrative responsibilities, partner agencies, budget management and staff supervision for the Weigand Homeless Resource Center, and ensure the timely and effective delivery of services to our clients.
Responsibilities include:
  1. Prepares reports, statistics, and documentation required for internal reporting and grants proposals.
  2. Analyze data for contract compliance on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  3. Review weekly deposits and monthly income statements sent out by finance.
  4. Oversee onsite security personnel and facilitate communication between staff and the security guards.
  5. Manage the program implementation of best practices and maintain the fidelity of those practices including, Trauma-Informed Care.
  6. Connect internal and external partners engaged in homeless initiatives to assess community needs and develop comprehensive programs and solutions, while leveraging available resources.
  7. Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment – inside/outside, office, warehouse, noise, temperature, etc.
  1. Ability to work inside at a desk and answering phone calls for hours at a time.
  2. Clean up of human biohazard materials, vomit, excrement, soiled clothing, and blankets.
  3. Properly dispose of drug paraphernalia when found.
Physical Demands including bending, sitting, lifting and driving
  1. Sitting for hours at a time.
  2. Some lifting of donated goods, up to 50 pounds at a time.
Skills, knowledge and abilities:
  1. Strong background and work experience in a nonprofit setting.
  2. Compassion and empathy for the populations served.
  3. Excellent computer skills and proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
  5. Commitment to social justice and the mission of CCS.
  6. Knowledge of contract and grant management and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management implementing best practices and Trauma Informed Care.
  7. Demonstrated leadership ability and vision in managing staff groups and major programs.
  8. Budget development and oversight experience.
  9. Excel at operating in a fast paced, dynamic community environment.
  10. Excellent people manager, open to direction, a collaborative work style, and commitment to get the job done.
Education, training and or experience:  
  1. Bachelor’s degree in social services or related field and/or equivalent experience.
  2. Two to three years of progressively responsible experience working in a related field.
  3. Supervisory experience.
  4. Knowledge of homeless services and providers.
Background Screen/BCI requirement
  1. Must be able to pass BCI/FBI background check.
Licenses, certifications and credentials
  1. Current Utah driver’s license, proof of auto insurance with minimum policy liability limits of $50,000 per person and $100,000 per occurrence, 21 years of age or older, a clean driving record, and ability to meet CCS vehicle safety requirements.
Position status and expected schedule  
  1. Full-time, 40 hours per week position, Monday-Friday. An occasional evening or weekend is possible.
