Location: Catholic Community Services of Utah, 2504 F Ave Ogden, Utah 84401  
Status: Non-Exempt, Full-time, with benefits
Salary: $12-13/hr DOE

Job Description:
This position is responsible for supporting the warehouse supervisor in all areas that are necessary to provide food assistance to low-income clients. This position will work with the warehouse supervisor to ensure that the food bank/food pantry is stocked, maintained and kept in a clean and organized manner.  This position will also be the primary driver for all food pick-ups and deliveries at local stores and agencies.
Responsibilities include:
  1. Assist in maintaining a clean and safe warehouse.
  2. Deliver food to partner agencies and home delivery clients.
  3. Assist in unloading/loading deliveries from the Utah Food Bank, USDA, salvaged items, and in-kind donations from other agencies, organizations, companies and private citizens.
  4. Ensure that all donations received and food assistance that is given is tracked and inventoried according to policies and procedures.
  5. Other duties as assigned.
Work Environment – inside/outside, office, warehouse, noise, temperature, etc.
  1. Work in both warehouse or on road doing food pick-ups or deliveries.
  2. Extreme temperatures and weather can be experienced while picking up food from stores and companies. 
Physical Demands including bending, sitting, lifting and driving
  1. Must be able to lift 65+ pounds.
  2. Use of pallet jacks to move heavy pallets and bins of food around warehouse.
  3. Consistent lifting and bending required.
  4. Skills driving large box truck required.
Skills, knowledge and abilities:
  1. Understanding of the challenges facing low-income families and the value of collaboration with other service agencies.
  2. Personal qualities of openness and respect for co-workers, volunteers and clients, compassion and graciousness in helping clients.
  3. Proficiency in verbal and written communication.
Education, training and or experience:  
  1. High school Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Warehouse and inventory management experience preferred.
  3. Experience in computer software including, MS Word, Excel, and the internet.
Background Screen/BCI requirement
  1. Must be able to pass a background check.
Licenses, certifications and credentials
  1. Current Utah driver’s license, proof of auto insurance with minimum policy liability limits of $50,000 per person and $100,000 per occurrence, 21 years of age or older, a clean driving record, and ability to meet CCS vehicle safety requirements.
  2. Utah DOT Medical Card.
  3. Forklift certified preferred.
  4. Must be familiar with safe food handling procedures and maintain a current food handler’s permit.
Position status and expected schedule  
  1. Full-time, non-exempt, Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.  Once a month a Thursday evening and Saturday morning shift are also required.
